Apparently director John Connor intended this episode to have a longer outdoor shoot but disclosed it got too wet to continue in the time available, so the concentration is on the big finale taking place in the usual (but useful) remote shack where ransom captives are kept.
Yes, the cavalry again arrives not in time. Having said that, our director exercises his ingenuity by using a series of surprise insert shots, and expert camerawork.
Also, the part where our captive works herself free is built up most effectively, with the punchout outcome pretty satisfying (in my opinion the loser should have held out longer; but it doesn't detract from the excellent performances and sharp dialog).
Newcomer Whitney
Rose is impressive. Worthy addition to this star-studded, popular series.
