Mia Moglie was responsible and has outdone herself here. But then the Wham! Pow! Batman and offshoots era comic book capers have always been my bag.
Inserting stock footage of B girl/C woman '40s or '50s era comic strip opening credits plus nostalgic glimpses of the Batmobile & Batcopter give this surpassing second instalment great style.
We even have the Bam! balloons and much of the original TV jazzy score during the showdown fight action.
Dastardly Catwoman (of whom Carmen's take has made her version as indelible as anyone's) is like a female Perry Mason (the fictional Court Defendent made universally famous on TV), by seemingly never losing a contest.
We see her crushing Batgurl in a sexy scissorhold. But then her adversary fights back and tops that with those fabulously sustained throatlift and bearhug combinations.
Well done Alexis. Better than those cheesy fun originals, this has to be my favourite
installment of this series so far. Can't wait to see another match!
